Diagnosing faults, keeping a buggy running, and when to call an engineer.

This is the largest cluster on the site because a buggy that will not start is a specific, diagnosable problem, and most of the time the cause is one of a short list: the batteries, the charger, a connection, the solenoid, or a controller fault.

These guides are written to be worked through in order, from what you can check safely yourself to the point where the honest answer is to stop and call an engineer. Lead-acid and lithium batteries behave differently and are covered separately, and the electrical work that genuinely needs a qualified person is flagged as such rather than left to enthusiasm.
