About the 2 Seater Lifted Golf Buggy
A lifted buggy is what a golf buggy becomes when the ground stops being mown. It sits on a raised chassis with 170 mm of clearance rather than 120 mm, wears knobbly all terrain tyres on alloy rims instead of turf tyres, and carries a 600 x 1200 mm cargo bed behind the bench rated to 100 kg.
It also climbs harder and runs faster: 30% against the course buggy's 25%, and 30 km/h against 20 km/h. Those two figures together are the reason it ends up on farms, forestry blocks, campsites and estates with unmade tracks, where a course buggy grounds out or runs out of grip on the first wet slope.

What it will not do
- All terrain tyres mark fine turf. On a manicured green or a formal lawn, a course buggy on turf tyres is the kinder vehicle and the one groundstaff will thank you for.
- The cargo bed is rated to 100 kg. That is a couple of feed sacks and a toolbox, not a pallet. If you need to shift more than that, ask us about the utility vehicles instead.
- At 30 km/h it is still not road legal. It is faster than a course buggy, not a road vehicle, and the crossing points on your site still need thinking about.
- The lifted stance raises the step in. On a site with older or less mobile passengers, sit in one before ordering.

- A golf buggy on a raised chassis with larger, coarser tyres. This one gains 50 mm of ground clearance over the course version, going from 120 mm to 170 mm, and swaps turf tyres for all terrain ones. It clears ruts and holds grip on wet slopes that would stop a standard buggy.
- Can a lifted golf buggy go off road?
- On tracks, grass, gravel and moderate slopes, yes: it climbs a 30% gradient and clears 170 mm. It is not a quad bike or a 4x4. Deep mud, steep banks and boulder-strewn ground are beyond it, and a two wheel drive buggy will dig in where a four wheel drive vehicle would walk out.
- How much can the cargo bed carry?
- 100 kg, in a bed measuring 1200 x 600 x 310 mm. Loading beyond the rating shortens the life of the suspension and lengthens the braking distance, so it is a limit rather than a guide.
