Frequently asked questions
The questions we are asked most often. If yours is not here, ask us directly and we will answer it.
Booking and quotes
- How do I get a price
- Use the quote form with your venue, dates and rough numbers. We reply with an itemised written quote, usually within one working hour. There is nothing to pay to get one.
- How far ahead should I book
- For summer weekends and peak wedding season, as early as you can, because availability is the limit rather than our capacity to arrange it. For quieter periods a few weeks is usually comfortable. If your date is close, ask anyway.
- Can I change my booking after I accept
- Yes, up to a cutoff before your event. You can change dates, numbers, sizes and extras, and we reissue the quote. The cutoff and any implications are set out on your booking.
Delivery and on the day
- Do you deliver and collect
- Yes, every hire is delivered to your venue and collected afterwards. We set the buggies up and show your nominated person how to drive and charge them. You do not return anything or clean anything.
- How is delivery priced
- By road distance from the depot the buggy comes from to your venue, there and back, for delivery and collection. It is always shown as a separate line on your quote so you can see it.
- What if a buggy has a problem during the hire
- Contact us. We would always rather know during the hire than after it. How we respond depends on the event and the issue, and we will talk that through with you before you book.
Driving, safety and insurance
- Do I need a licence to drive a golf buggy
- On private land, generally no. On a public road the position is different and most hires are for private land. If any part of your use touches a public road, tell us so we can advise properly rather than in general terms.
- Can guests drive the buggies
- That is your decision as the hirer and it depends on your venue and insurance. Many venues prefer a nominated driver. We can also supply trained drivers, which removes the question.
- Are the buggies insured
- We will explain exactly what is and is not covered before you book, including your responsibilities as the hirer during the hire period. We set this out plainly rather than leaving it buried in terms.
Payment and cancellation
- Do I pay a deposit
- For most bookings, yes, with the balance due before delivery. The amounts are shown on your quote before you commit. For larger events we can arrange instalments.
- How can I pay
- By card and a range of other methods at checkout, and by bank transfer with a VAT invoice for larger balances. The options appear when you come to pay.
- What is your cancellation policy
- It is set out in the terms and depends on how close to the event you cancel. We will make it clear on your booking rather than leave you to find it.
