Golf buggy hire for festivals
Electric buggy hire for festivals, county shows and public events. Event transport for crew, artists and medical teams, delivered across the UK.
Festivals and public events hire buggies as event transport, moving crew, artists, medical teams and equipment around a site that is far too large to walk repeatedly, often across grass and often for several days.
Event sites are the hardest environment we hire into, and the most rewarding to get right. Distances are long, the ground changes character the moment it rains, and the vehicle is in near-constant use from build through to breakdown.
The pattern is consistent across music festivals, county shows and country fairs: a small number of buggies doing a very large number of short journeys, in the hands of a rota of drivers, over ground that started firm and did not stay that way.

What event organisers need to think about
What event transport has to cover
On a green-field site the transportation of crew, artists, kit and medical teams is one continuous job from build to breakdown, not a shuttle timetable. Plan it as a small fleet doing many short runs, because that is the pattern every event settles into by day two.
Hire the build and breakdown, not just the event
The heaviest use is often before the public arrive and after they leave. A hire that starts on gates-open and ends on gates-close usually gets extended, and extending late costs more than booking it properly.
Ground conditions
Standard buggies are built for made-up surfaces and firm grass. Waterlogged fields and deep ruts are a different job. Be honest with us about the ground and we will be honest about what will cope.
Charging on a field
Overnight charging needs a power source near where the buggies stand down, and on a green-field site that means planning it into the power distribution rather than assuming a socket.
Keys and control
On a multi-day event with rotating crew, buggies wander. A key policy and a named person responsible per vehicle saves more time than any other single decision.
Pedestrian safety
Moving vehicles among crowds needs marshalling, defined routes and a speed discipline. It belongs in your event safety plan, and licensing will expect to see it there.
Which buggy suits this
Utility buggies earn their place on event sites because most journeys carry kit rather than people. Passenger vehicles alongside them handle crew and artist movement.
Venues we are asked about
Planning guidance for festivals and public events at specific venues: the grounds, the distances and which buggy suits. We are an independent hire company and not affiliated with any of them.
Common questions
- Can buggies cope with a wet field
- Firm grass, yes. Saturated ground and deep ruts are outside what a standard buggy is built for, and we would rather tell you that at quote stage than recover a stuck vehicle mid-event. Describe the ground honestly when you enquire and we will tell you what will actually work.
- Do you hire for the build week as well as the event
- Yes, and it is usually the right call. Build and breakdown are often the busiest periods for site transport. A longer hire booked up front is cheaper than extending it under pressure.
- Can we hire for a multi-day event
- Yes. Multi-day and multi-week hires are normal for us. The daily rate reduces as the hire lengthens, and that is shown as its own line on your quote rather than buried in a total.
