Modern slavery statement

Last updated July 2026

Our commitment

We are opposed to modern slavery and human trafficking in every form, and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in our own operations and in our dealings with suppliers and partners.

We are The Hawke Group Ltd, trading as Green Buggy Hire, registered in England and Wales, company number 16624766, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.

Why this statement is voluntary

The Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires a formal statement from businesses above a set annual turnover. We are below that threshold, so we are not legally required to publish one. We publish this statement voluntarily, because the commitment matters regardless of size and because our customers are entitled to know where we stand.

We have written it to reflect the reality of a small business honestly, rather than adopting the language of a large corporation with resources and structures we do not have.

Our business and supply chain

We hire electric golf buggies and related equipment, deliver and collect them, and provide servicing and repair. Our supply chain includes the manufacturers and suppliers of the vehicles and parts we use, the providers of transport and logistics, and a small number of service and software suppliers.

We consider the risk of modern slavery within our direct operations to be low, given the nature of the work and our small, UK-based team. We recognise that risk can exist deeper in any supply chain, particularly in the manufacture of vehicles and components, and we take that seriously rather than assuming it away.

The steps we take

As a small business, the steps we take are proportionate and practical rather than elaborate:

  • We expect our suppliers to comply with all applicable laws, including those on modern slavery and employment, and we will not knowingly work with any supplier that does not.
  • We favour established, reputable suppliers, and we ask questions where we have any concern about labour practices.
  • We pay our own people and our suppliers fairly and on the agreed terms.
  • We keep this commitment under review as the business grows, and we will strengthen these steps, including any supplier checks and staff guidance, as our size and resources allow.

Raising a concern

Anyone who has a concern about modern slavery in connection with our business or supply chain can raise it with us directly at legal@greenbuggy.co.uk. We will take any such concern seriously and look into it.

Review

We will review this statement as the business develops, and at least annually, and update it to reflect any change in our operations, our supply chain, or the steps we take.
