About Green Buggy Hire
Green Buggy Hire is a UK golf buggy hire brand. We deliver electric buggies to venues across the country, set them up, and collect them afterwards. Weddings, events, estates, hotels and site work are what we are asked for most.
We are a British brand, and our buggies are assembled in the UK. We keep our pricing transparent: hire and delivery are quoted as separate lines, and we would rather explain how a price is built than advertise a figure that does not apply to your event.
What we actually solve
Almost every booking comes down to the same thing: a site that is too big to walk comfortably, and a group of people who need to get across it. A country house wedding where the ceremony, the photographs and the reception are three long walks apart. A festival spread over forty acres of grass. A corporate campus where the overflow car park is ten minutes from the room the session starts in. The buggy is the same in each case. What changes is the ground, the distance and who is travelling.
The people who feel that distance most are the ones a plan usually forgets: elderly relatives, anyone in formal shoes on a warm day, a guest using a wheelchair. That is why the fleet includes a ramp-access buggy that carries someone in their own chair rather than asking them to transfer, and why we ask about the route and the surface before we quote rather than after.
How we work
A hire runs from a quote to delivery to collection, and we aim to reply to every enquiry with an itemised written quote within one working hour. There is nothing to pay to get one.
Buggies arrive on a trailer, because a standard golf buggy is not road legal and cannot be driven to you. We unload, set up and brief whoever is driving, and we collect afterwards. Hire and delivery are quoted as separate lines, delivery priced on the real road distance to your venue, so you can see what each part costs instead of being handed one figure.
We will also tell you when the answer is no. Saturated ground and deep ruts are outside what a standard buggy is built for, and we would rather say so at quote stage than recover a stuck vehicle in front of your guests. If you would use a buggy for a handful of days a year, hiring is usually cheaper than owning; if you would use one constantly, it may not be, and we have written that down rather than hidden it.
Electric, and what that does and does not mean
Every buggy we hire is electric. In practice the quiet matters more often than anything else: it is what makes a buggy usable near a ceremony, inside a building or around animals. There are no exhaust emissions at the point of use, which is what makes indoor work possible at all.
We are deliberately modest about the wider environmental case. Hiring shares one vehicle across many events rather than every venue owning one, and electric running avoids burning fuel on site. We do not claim to be carbon neutral, we do not quote a carbon saving for your event, and the batteries and the towing vehicle both have a cost we are not going to pretend away.
