Electric utility vehicles for sale
Load carrying bodies on the same running gear: tipping beds and insulated boxes.
These sit between a buggy with a box bolted behind the seats and a UTV. They carry 200 to 500 kg on beds that tip hydraulically, at 25 to 35 km/h, in two wheel drive on made surfaces. A lifted buggy carries 100 kg; a UTV carries 500 kg through four wheel drive and costs considerably more. Most estate, hotel and grounds work sits in the middle, which is where this line is.
The choice between them is about the shape of the load rather than its weight. The short and long beds both carry 500 kg, and the long bed exists purely because fence posts, ladders and staging overhang a metre-long bed. The small two seater carries less and climbs better. The refrigerated one has no bed at all.
None of them is four wheel drive and none is road legal. If the ground is genuinely rough with a load aboard, the UTV line is built for it; if the route crosses a public road, only the road legal buggy may do that.
