Golf buggy hire for marquee weddings

Electric golf buggy hire for marquee weddings. Move guests across a field between parking, the marquee and the house on grass.

Golf buggy hire for marquee weddings moves guests across grass between the parking, the marquee and the house, on a site built for the day with no hard standing and distances set by where the marquee could go rather than by convenience.

A marquee wedding puts the venue where the view is, which is rarely next to the parking or the loos. The result is a temporary site spread across a field or a garden, joined by grass and the odd trackway, where every point a guest needs is a walk over open ground.

Grass is the whole story here. It carries a buggy easily when dry and turns to the main risk when wet, so the single most useful thing you can tell us is the state of the ground and where the vehicle routes will run, well before the day.

What matters at a marquee wedding

  • It is all grass

With no hard standing, a marquee site lives or dies on the ground. Dry grass is straightforward; after rain it is the limit, and occasionally it changes what we would advise. Tell us the field and we will be honest about what will and will not work.

  • Parking is the longest walk

Guests park in a field that can sit a long way from the marquee, and the run between the two is the journey most people want, particularly older guests at the start and everyone at the end of the night.

  • Trackway and routes

Many marquee sites lay temporary trackway for deliveries and generators. If it is down, we will use it; if it is not, we plan a grass route that stays on the firmer ground and away from the wettest corners.

  • Set up around the other trades

A marquee field is busy with caterers, generators and the marquee company on the day. We agree an unload point and a route that keeps clear of their working areas, so nothing gets in anyone's way.

Which buggy suits this

A 4 seater suits a single route from parking to the marquee. Add a 6 seater for larger numbers moving together, or the wheelchair-access buggy so a guest travels in their own chair across the grass.

Common questions

Will a buggy work on a wet field
On firm grass, yes. A saturated field is the limit, so we look at the ground and the weather first and plan the route to the driest, firmest line. We would rather say so in advance than get stuck on the day.
The parking field is a long way from the marquee, can you help
That is the commonest reason people hire for a marquee wedding. The buggy runs guests between the parking and the marquee, which matters most for older guests arriving and everyone leaving late.
Can you use the trackway the marquee company lays
Yes, where it is down we will use it. Where it is not, we plan a grass route on the firmer ground. Tell us what temporary surfacing is planned and we will work to it.
