A garden centre or nursery has narrow fixed aisles, wet and slippery surfaces, heavy but bulky stock, and customers in the same space as the work. Width and turning circle usually decide the machine before payload does, and the ability to work inside a glasshouse without an exhaust is often the reason electric is chosen at all.

Aisles decide the machine
In a glasshouse or a polytunnel the aisle width is productive space that has already been optimised, and it will not be widened for a vehicle. That makes width and turning circle the first filter, ahead of everything on the specification sheet.
Measure the narrowest aisle the machine must enter and the tightest turn it must complete at the end of one. A vehicle that can enter but not turn is a vehicle that reverses the length of every run.

A glasshouse is an enclosed space, and running a combustion engine in one is a ventilation problem and a plant health one. An electric machine works in there without either.

- Most will, and gravel wears tyres faster than grass or concrete. Where a site is largely gravel, factor that into the running cost.
