Accessibility and inclusion

Accessibility is where a buggy stops being a convenience and becomes the thing that lets someone take part at all. A guest who uses a wheelchair, or who cannot manage the distances of a large venue, is otherwise choosing between exhaustion and missing part of the day.

The wheelchair-access buggy removes that choice by carrying them in their own chair, up a ramp, rather than asking them to transfer and leave the chair behind. That difference matters a great deal to the people it affects. These guides cover the vehicle, the routes that make it usable, and the wider group who benefit, which is broader than wheelchair users alone.

Arranging it well takes a little forethought. A ramp-access buggy is only as useful as the route it can actually run, so level or ramped access, a firm surface and a sensible path between the points a guest needs to reach all matter as much as the vehicle.
