Electric and sustainability

Every buggy we hire is electric, and the practical consequences matter more than the environmental ones on most bookings. An electric buggy runs quietly enough to operate near a ceremony or a ward, and it produces no exhaust emissions at the point of use, which is what makes indoor and enclosed-space use possible at all.

The trade-offs are real and worth understanding before you book. Range depends on the terrain, the load and the age of the batteries; hills and wet grass cost more charge than a flat path; and overnight charging needs a power source planned into the site rather than assumed. On the wider environmental case we are deliberately modest. Hiring shares one vehicle across many events rather than everyone owning one, and electric running avoids burning fuel on site. We do not claim carbon neutrality, we do not quote a carbon saving for your event, and we would rather state the narrow, checkable benefits than a broad one we cannot evidence.
