The chassis, motor and body of an electric utility vehicle routinely outlast several battery packs. What ends a machine's working life is usually a decision rather than a failure: the point at which a pack replacement, accumulated corrosion and deferred repairs together cost more than the machine is worth. What actually wears out
The battery pack, first and by a distance. Everything else on the machine is either serviceable or unusually durable, because there is no combustion, no gearbox in the conventional sense and very little heat.
After that, the consumables you would expect: tyres, brakes, bushes, seat material and any hydraulics on a tipping body.
The motor and controller can fail, and usually do so from water ingress or a connection problem rather than from wear.
Corrosion, and where it comes from
Coastal sites, agricultural sites and anywhere near fertiliser or salt see corrosion that a parkland site never does. It attacks fixings, frames and connections, and it is the reason two identical machines can be in very different condition at the same age.
Washing down after use, drying properly, and storing under cover do more for a machine's life than any component choice. It is unglamorous and it works.

Deciding when it is finished
The question is not whether the machine still runs, it is whether the next twelve months of cost is less than what the same money buys elsewhere. A pack replacement on a sound chassis is often excellent value; the same pack in a corroded frame with a tired hydraulic body is not.
That decision needs records. A machine with a known service history and a known pack age can be assessed honestly. One without either has to be assessed pessimistically, which is why the same machine is worth less without its paperwork.
