Venues and settings

Choosing buggy transport for your venue type, from marquees and barns to castles, vineyards and the coast.

Venue type predicts the transport problem more reliably than guest numbers do. A marquee on a lawn, a barn with parking in a distant field, a castle with a steep approach and a vineyard on a slope each set different conditions, and the buggy that suits one is not automatically right for another.

The variables that matter are the surface, the gradient, the distance between the points people need to reach, and whatever the venue permits: heritage properties in particular set their own rules about where vehicles may go and on what ground. These guides work through the common venue types and what each demands.
