Lulworth Castle is a mock-Gothic hunting lodge in its own park on the Dorset coast, and its grounds host a large family music festival each summer alongside weddings and estate events. A camping festival puts stages, traders and campsites across parkland for weeks, not days.

About Lulworth Castle

The castle stands inland from Lulworth Cove within a coastal estate, and its parkland is the working event ground. The festival held there each summer brings camping, arenas, traders and welfare onto the park, with a build and breakdown period either side that is heavier than the event itself.

Crew, stewards, medical teams and production move continuously across that footprint, on grass, for a week or more. Weddings and smaller estate events use the same grounds on a different scale, with parking well away from the castle.

The coast a mile south is a separate matter entirely: the cove and Durdle Door are reached by steep paths on eroding cliff, and no buggy belongs on any of it.

Access and getting around

Parkland around the castle is level and workable, dry and heavy by season like any grass event site. A wet build week changes what should be driven where, and we would say so rather than damage the ground.

Coastal salt exposure is handled in preparing a hire here. The cliff paths and the cove are outside what this vehicle does under any conditions.

Lulworth is about 105 miles by road from our Bracknell depot. Because the delivery costs the same whatever the hire length, an event-length booking covering build and breakdown prices better than a single day.

Do you supply buggies for camping music festivals

Yes, and the build and breakdown weeks usually need them more than the event days. Production, stewards, welfare and medical teams cover a large grass site continuously, and utility vehicles move barriers, cable and equipment without a van cutting up the ground.

Can a buggy be used down at the cove

No. The paths to Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are steep, narrow and on eroding cliff, and nothing of this kind should be near them. The parkland inland is where the vehicle works.
