It is a compact site that behaves like a much larger one. Parking is limited and mostly at the back, the harbour and both beaches are at the front, and a production or an event has to move people and equipment along quays and paths where there is nowhere to leave a vehicle. The quays and made paths are hard and level, so the going is dependable. Shingle beach and the cliff base are not, and East Cliff is actively eroding ground that nobody should be working close to.
