Specifications are the manufacturer’s own published figures for this model. Range and climbing figures are measured in level, unladen conditions, so treat them as the ceiling rather than the number to plan a hilly site around.

About the 4 Seater Golf Buggy Flip Seat

There are two ways to get four seats onto a golf buggy. One is a second forward facing bench on a longer chassis, which is the plain four seater. The other is a rear bench that faces backwards and folds flat, which is this, and it is built on the two seater's wheelbase rather than a stretched one.

That is why it turns in 3.1 m where the forward facing four seater needs 4.5 m. On a site with courtyards or walled gardens that difference decides whether a four seater is usable at all.

Where a flip seat earns its keep

  • Venues that need four seats but have the turning space of a two seater
  • Sites where the fourth seat is occasional and load space is the rest of the week
  • Wedding and events work, where guests travel in pairs and kit travels between runs
  • Anywhere a buggy alternates between carrying people and carrying things

What it will not do

  • The rear pair face backwards. Some passengers dislike it and it is worth sitting somebody in it before ordering a fleet.
  • Folded flat it is a load platform rather than a walled bed, so nothing is stopping a load sliding off. The cargo models have sides.
  • It is 3.06 m long against the two seater's 2.38 m. The turning circle is unchanged but the parking space is not.

Questions about the 4 Seater Golf Buggy Flip Seat

What is a flip seat on a golf buggy?
A rear bench that faces backwards and folds flat when it is not carrying anybody, turning the back of the buggy into a load platform. It is how a four seater fits on a two seater's wheelbase.
Is a flip seat better than a forward facing four seater?
It depends on your turning space. This turns in 3.1 m against the forward facing model's 4.5 m, which on a tight site is decisive. Where there is room, forward facing seats are more comfortable and nobody travels backwards.
Can four adults use it comfortably?
Yes, two forward and two rearward. The rear pair face out of the back, which most people are fine with over short distances and some are not. Try it before committing to several.
How much does it cost?
We price to specification rather than publish a figure. Tell us how you will use it and we will quote the vehicle, the delivery and the lead time together.

Not sure whether to buy or hire

As a rule, buying wins if you would use it more than a few weeks a year or need it available without arranging anything. Below that, hiring usually costs less and takes the maintenance off you. The calculator works it through on your own numbers rather than ours.
